About Sobertown
Sobertown is a growing community of like-minded people in recovery helping others start or maintain their sobriety.
We refer to ourselves as “Sober Warriors” because the fight against addiction is a grisly battle that takes no prisoners. Real people die every day from complications and repercussions of long-term alcohol use, a tragic end that is 100% preventable through increased awareness and connection.
Alcohol is so pervasive and normalized in our culture that it often gets a free pass into our lives when it’s really a cancer-causing drug that can slowly wreak havoc on all states of our well-being: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, vocational, and intellectual.
But we’re not here simply to shine a light on alcohol’s ugly side.
We’re forming a village of sober individuals from all walks of life that share a common goal - to support others in recovery while also increasing the dialogue around the many positive aspects of sobriety versus the darkness of addiction.

Kera and Bill W were two friends, turned romantic partners who quit their addictions and went on a journey of self-discovery. Along their journey of 4.5 years, they learned that life is short and that there's more to life than just getting by in recovery. Learn about the steps they took to get from addiction to adventure.
Their hope is that by sharing these Podcasts, others can be inspired to take steps towards finding happiness themselves. During their adventure across the country, they knew they wanted to give back and help adults in recovery. So today they do just that. But when it comes to having a passion for Sobriety, Todd is a Powerhouse with an amazing mind and mindset! Hypomania and mania are symptoms of bipolar disorder. In this podcast, Drifter interviews CeeCce (who has been living with bipolar disorder for 15 years) and dives deeper into the world of bipolar disorder and how it relates to addiction recovery. Hypomania and mania are elevated mood states wherein addiction and destructive patterns of behaviour can run rampant. Both CeeCee and Drifter share their personal experiences with mania, the impact of rapidly fluctuating moods, and how their choice to be sober has enhanced their understanding of mental health. Managing your mood and cravings can be enhanced through awareness and strategy. Recommendations on how to do this are offered, so have a listen!
CeeCee has been figuring out have to live with Bipolar Disorder for 15 years, which has recently entailed choosing an alcohol free lifestyle. She describes herself as a spiritual enthusiast, empath, and a wannabe morning person.
In addition to being an avid talker, CeeCee is also a prolific journal writer and blogger. Her first book, a mental health memoir, is currently in progress.
CeeCee is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), a Reiki practitioner, and holds certifications in qi gong, and various forms of meditation. She is a mental health advocate, a math teacher by day, a believer in miracles and a mom.
When she isn’t writing, in therapy, cleaning or meditating, CeeCee can usually be found flossing, dancing like no one is watching or reading. She loves the colour pink, is fascinated by flamingos and gets giddy over snow. She relies heavily on affirmation cards and coffee to get through the day.
CeeCee lives in Atlantic Canada with her highly intuitive 7 year old daughter, her non-husband who is only mildly amused by her jokes and an overly affectionate cat.

Amy is a star being who has had many incarnations on this planet and others. Her divine mission for this lifetime is to assist the healing of humanity by lifting us into our highest expressions of Joy, Love and Bliss. July 1st 2020 Kinnic packed up his pistol and a cooler full of booze with the intention of killing himself. Alcoholism had stripped everything from him including his will to live.
Thanks to a 12 hour blackout and the unexplained change of his thinking, he came out of it, he did not pull the trigger, and he is 357 days sober TODAY!!!
