About Sobertown
Sobertown is a growing community of like-minded people in recovery helping others start or maintain their sobriety.
We refer to ourselves as “Sober Warriors” because the fight against addiction is a grisly battle that takes no prisoners. Real people die every day from complications and repercussions of long-term alcohol use, a tragic end that is 100% preventable through increased awareness and connection.
Alcohol is so pervasive and normalized in our culture that it often gets a free pass into our lives when it’s really a cancer-causing drug that can slowly wreak havoc on all states of our well-being: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, vocational, and intellectual.
But we’re not here simply to shine a light on alcohol’s ugly side.
We’re forming a village of sober individuals from all walks of life that share a common goal - to support others in recovery while also increasing the dialogue around the many positive aspects of sobriety versus the darkness of addiction.

Polly and Corinna Two for One special. Riding the Sobertrain and talking about holidays and new trikes. Corinna had a sober family vacation and came home exhausted from all the fun and activities. She then took delivery of her new trike, a Can-Am, at which point she very quickly donned her leathers and rode!!!!!
Corinna then relinquished her seat on the train to our good friend Mr Drifter who promptly christened the Can-Am "Bumblebee" in honor of the yellow character from Transformers. Molly sits down with Drifter to tell her story.
Molly is a 33yo CT-scan technologist in Florida. Despite her younger age she has a long career in both her professional and drinking life, and is a survivor of both domestic violence and sexual assault. She is a huge nerd and will zone out on a good video game or spend time at conventions just as much as she’d love going camping or being outdoors. She is currently thrilled to be sober and is building her future for her fiancé and her dog... and she will not drink with you today!
Molly, Thank you so much for having the courage to step up and share your story! I'm really excited to see you young folks getting sober and digging deep to figure all this craziness out that addiction brought into your lives!

Tea Lover is almost 40. She is an osteopath, educated, has 2 degrees, is in mountain rescue, is happily married and has a good life. However, Tea ended up in the deepest pits of her own personal hell because of alcohol. She went from being a kind happy person, to someone who hated herself and everything about her. She really tried to break free from this prison June 2020 and did manage 3 weeks, then 3 months. But still ended up drinking and had over 70 resets between September and February. This post comes from 6 weeks sober, but 10 months and beyond in the making and in her journey crawling her way out of addiction to this far. For those who didn’t get it, Tea Lover, LOVES tea!
Tea Lover and myself started our sober journey's on IAS at the same time. I've personally watched Tea battle her way through the trenches of addiction. She literally had 70 day zero's in a row and never gave up!
